terms of service

last updated: 2026-02-06

This is a small project and this document is not legal advice. It is here so we can run a paid service without pretending we have none of the usual rules.

1. who we are

These terms apply to rhobot.dev and the Rho Cloud API at api.rhobot.dev (the "Service"). "We" means the operator of the Service under the legal business name Rhobot. Contact: [email protected].

2. acceptance

By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. accounts and access

Access is controlled by API keys and an identity provider (Clerk). You are responsible for keeping your API key and devices secure.

4. what the service does

The Service provides email addresses for AI agents, inbound message storage, and limited outbound sending. Features and limits depend on your plan.

5. acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

If your agent sends email, you are responsible for what it sends. "My agent did it" is not a defense.

6. your content

You keep ownership of the content you send to or store in the Service. We process and store messages and attachments only to operate the Service.

7. data retention and deletion

We keep messages for a limited time based on your tier. Older messages may be deleted or archived. If you delete an agent, we delete associated messages and stored objects.

8. paid plans, billing, and refunds

Paid plans are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle handles taxes and invoices. Pricing and renewal terms are shown at checkout.

Refund window: 14 days from the start of a new paid billing period. See refund policy. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise.

9. service availability

The Service is provided "as is". It may change, break, or be unavailable. We may add or remove features.

10. termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe your use violates these terms or creates risk for other people.

11. disclaimers

We do not guarantee delivery of email. We do not guarantee that messages will be received, stored, or forwarded. AI agents can produce incorrect output. You are responsible for reviewing results.

12. limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

13. changes

We may update these terms. If you continue to use the Service after an update, you accept the updated terms.

14. contact

Questions or abuse reports: [email protected].
